This blog has evolved into a study of people in transit. Whether it is on the subway, bus or people simply killing some time at a park before going to their next destination - I love to capture that moment.
I started sketching people in the city during college as part of a class. This turned into more of a hobby as I began to develop a certain style and approach to the drawings. I use a Sepia pen on a multipurpose drawing pad, drawing people in a short time span.
It involves patience, persistence and spontaneity as you never know when someone will decide to get off the train, change their sitting position or move because they feel like you are crowding their personal space.
I have found interesting patterns created by the way people sit and utilize their space while creating unique shapes and negative space.
